A Night at the Inn at Perry Cabin in Saint Michaels, Maryland

Mostly everyone has, at least, heard of the movie "Weddings Crashers." But some may not know that the big wedding scene in the movie takes place at the Inn at Perry Cabin, located right in Saint Michaels, Maryland. It was just nominated in Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards.

Although Justin and I have spent a lot of time in St. Michaels and having drinks at the Pub inside the Inn at Perry Cabin, we had never actually stayed there. While in St. Michaels over Christmas though, Justin decided to surprise me by booking a stay for us in January.

On the afternoon of our stay, it started snowing in Baltimore, and we immediately started driving to try to get to the Inn as soon as possible. Once we arrived, about two hours later, St. Michaels was fully covered in snow and the Inn looked as beautiful as ever.

We checked in to the Inn with the help of a super friendly staff and received $200 worth of food and drink credit. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable. For the evening, we decided to book a romantic dinner at the Stars restaurant, so we got all dressed up and ready.

The restaurant was beautiful and the food was even better. It had a very Maryland menu with some unique surprises. The meal started with a crab cake inside an egg shell. It was not only fun for pictures, but also delicious. We also were served fresh and warm bread and butter.

For the next course, I chose the duck and mushroom dish and Justin ordered Maryland crab soup. Both options were so tasty and we ended up sharing both.

For the third course, I ordered the Line Caught Ribbon Fish and Justin ordered the Maryland crab cakes. You can't come to the Inn and not eat as much crab as possible.

As our dessert, we shared the Cheese Board (of course) and the Carrot Smith Island Cake. The restaurant also surprised us with mini treats.

We highly recommend eating at this restaurant if you are in St. Michaels.

We finished the night with some fun cocktails at the Pub inside the Inn.

In the summer, you can also enjoy sailing, biking around town, tennis, golf, or just lounging on the comfortable chairs overlooking the water.

Of course, if you have time, don't forget the spa.
